Hold fast to your confession

Scripture:

Hebrews: 4:14 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

Yesterday,we started a series on healing- One of the primary ways we can receive our healing is by confessing what God says about our health. From the scripture above the writer of hebrew admonishes us to hold fast to our profession which simply means confession.

Let me share with you a personal testimony: During my university days, i had insomnia, sleeping disorder. It was very challenging, I would stay awake all night doing nothing but staring at the roof and everything in the room. I wouldn’t be able to sleep, I tried every practical thing possible but it yielded no result. Migraine also took over due to lack of sleep and proper rest- i wasn’t enjoying my life to say the least. However, all that changed one day.

As I was studying the bible, I came across a passage that changed my life forever. I saw that the price to sleep peacefully had been paid in full from Psalm 127:2,” It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”

I saw how I was entitled to lovely sleep as a child of God. Every night before going to bed, I began to confess the word in this manner, “In the name of Jesus, I am sleeping well tonight, because he giveth his beloved sleep. Hallelujah,I am sleeping well in the name of Jesus. I am his beloved, I am entitled to sleep…”I confessed it every day before going to bed and before I knew it, I started sleeping like a baby. Glory to God.

The word of God is too powerful to fail (Hebrews 4:12). The Bible says in,”Jeremiah 1:12,” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

God is watching over his words to perform it- My question to you is, have you found the word concerning that situation? Jeremiah 15:16 declares,”Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart…

God is not responsible for sicknesses, neither is be trying to teach you anything with that  condition. The Bible says in Matthew 13:25,” but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.”

Locate the word and confess it until you see the desired change.

Hallelujah.
