Fellowship

Scripture:

Mark 3:14,15,” And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.”

Christianity is what it is today because of Jesus and his 12 disciples who paved the way for us. However, there are very important lessons to learn to manifest after the same order of grace they walked in. God is no respecter of persons, if we key into the same principles we shall get the same result. Before Jesus called the 12 disciples, he seperated himself and prayed throughout the night despite his divine nature. We must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God before embarking on any endeavor-  there is a primary lesson to be learnt from the call of the disciples. What does God expect from us as believers?

Communion: The primary interest of God is fellowship- every great man or woman in the kingdom of God today, is one who has a wonderful relationship with Jesus. From our anchor scripture today, the bible makes it clear, God ordained the twelve that they should be with him. God had fellowship with Adam in the garden of Eden, Abraham had a good relationship with God, that’s why he could intercede for the people of Sodom. Noah had a good rapport with Yahweh, thats why he was told to build the ark. You need a good relationship with the Holy Spirit to do exploits.

God didn’t call the disciples primarily to preach or cast out devils, that was their secondary and tertiary assignment. The primary reason he called them was for fellowship and not for the work of the ministry. Walking with God is more important to God than working for him. Do you want your shadow to cast out devils like Peter?  I assume your answer is YES. Then you must stay under the light of the universe, the sun of righteousness, for in his light, our light shall blossom.

Power and the gifts of the Spirit is a by-product of communion with God. Develop a good relationship with God today in the place of prayer, worship, bible study and fasting.

Good morning.

Have a wonderful day
