    The Cross

    Scripture:

Romans 1:16,” For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

We’re admonished to take the gospel to the nations of the earth by the Messiah as a parting message before he ascended into the heavens to sit at the right hand of his Majesty. However, we seldom evangelize but we want blessings from the lord in quantum proportion. We run to God like he owes us and must pay up else he’s arrested.

We’re all quilty of some of these expectations from time to time. The natural man is selfish, It takes the grace of God and renewing of the mind to be transformed into the image of the lord. What we ought to do intead of raising vain petitions as altars unto God is to seek his kingdom as our primary calling- it invariably makes him pay attention to our needs. One of the ways we can achieve this is to win souls to the kingdom of heaven to depopulate hell.

I remember an experience I had with the lord during my service year- I often ministered in diverse gatherings and in some cases commercial vehicles. However, after a while I began to get timid about the work of God, the environment was trying to choke the word. Nevertheless, I didn’t stop asking God for more grace and power: on a fateful day, the Holy Spirit spoke on my inside in very clear terms, “If you’re ashamed of my name, don’t expect to experience my power.”

I repented of my timitidy and got back to my father’s business. Put him first in everything and watch him move in your affairs, for he hasn’t called us to seek him in vain.

Good morning to you this morning.

    The Power of Unity

    Scripture:

Genesis 11:6, “And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do: and now nothing will be withholden from them, which they purpose to do.”

It’s often said that discipline is the soul of an army. However, I believe unity is even more important because a united army will not find discipline challenging. It takes oneness to succeed as a group or body in any project. From our anchor scripture today culled from the wonderful story of men who had a vision to build a tower to heaven, there are lessons that can be learnt.

    1. They are one people: They had the same vision and were committed to see the actualization. No project can succeed without unity of purpose. That’s why the bible says in Amos 3:3, “can two walk together unless they agree.”

    2. The have all one language: They had the same perspective and orientation on how the project could be actualized. The Engineers, project managers, and the people subscribed to the same plan for the building of the tower.

    3. This is what they begin to do: The bible says in James 1:22, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves.” No plan will execute itself, the best business idea won’t manifest on its own without committed hands. It’s time to get to work for the day is far spent.

    Good morning

    Fellowship

    Scripture:

Mark 3:14,15,” And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.”

Christianity is what it is today because of Jesus and his 12 disciples who paved the way for us. However, there are very important lessons to learn to manifest after the same order of grace they walked in. God is no respecter of persons, if we key into the same principles we shall get the same result. Before Jesus called the 12 disciples, he seperated himself and prayed throughout the night despite his divine nature. We must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God before embarking on any endeavor-  there is a primary lesson to be learnt from the call of the disciples. What does God expect from us as believers?

Communion: The primary interest of God is fellowship- every great man or woman in the kingdom of God today, is one who has a wonderful relationship with Jesus. From our anchor scripture today, the bible makes it clear, God ordained the twelve that they should be with him. God had fellowship with Adam in the garden of Eden, Abraham had a good relationship with God, that’s why he could intercede for the people of Sodom. Noah had a good rapport with Yahweh, thats why he was told to build the ark. You need a good relationship with the Holy Spirit to do exploits.

God didn’t call the disciples primarily to preach or cast out devils, that was their secondary and tertiary assignment. The primary reason he called them was for fellowship and not for the work of the ministry. Walking with God is more important to God than working for him. Do you want your shadow to cast out devils like Peter?  I assume your answer is YES. Then you must stay under the light of the universe, the sun of righteousness, for in his light, our light shall blossom.

Power and the gifts of the Spirit is a by-product of communion with God. Develop a good relationship with God today in the place of prayer, worship, bible study and fasting.

    Good morning.

    Have a wonderful day

    Divine Healing: The Blood

We shall be examining the blood of Jesus as a potent weapon to crush sicknesses and diseases. The blood of Jesus has diverse applications and its the very reason we can call ourselves believers. Without the blood of Jesus shed at calvary, there would be no Christianity. It will be like other religions of the world without power.

    Benefits of the Blood

Remission of sins: Under the law, the blood of animals was utilized to atone for the sins of the people. However, this was not good enough because it could only cover the sins until the next act. Jesus came to die, and to shed his blood for the remission of our sins. With Our sins washed away, man can now stand before his creator with boldness and obtain favour. Sin opens the door to demons, carriers of  sicknesses and diseases-that is the reason the bible says in the book of James 5:15,16 “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. ”

Life: The bible says in Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” As we partake of the blood of Jesus, we receive into our system the life of God. The blood of Jesus flushes out every evil deposit the enemy has placed there. Furthermore, it brings death to every sickness or disease in our bodies- as Jesus died on the cross and declared the works of darkness finished, so shall every disease expire as we partake of the blood of Jesus.

We can deploy the blood by taking the communion, however it doesn’t stop there. By coming against every affliction by the blood of the lamb will also produce the same order of result. It is a very potent way of destroying sicknesses and uprooting demonic plantings in our lives.

Take the communion and plead the blood constantly.

    Hallelujah!

    Good morning.

    Honour

    Scripture:

Romans: 13:1, 2. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

The series on healing will continue tomorrow, however i feel led to address this today. God expects us to serve him in spirit and in truth because we’re his workmanship. There are enormous benefits in serving God because he has not called us to seek him in vain. Our covenant fathers in the faith served God and they were blessed beyond measure. Nevertheless, we mustn’t go to God with the mentality of serving for blessing, we must serve God because of who he is and what he has called us to do.

Serving God will entail serving under leaders in varying capacities- God expects us to have certain attitudinal dispositions in this regard. The most important quality i believe we must cultivate is honour. It will never be a cliche that God resists the proud but gives more grace to the humble (James 4:6). Our leaders are not perfect people hence, they will make mistakes but God expects us to honor them because we are not perfect ourselves. We’re not told to honor them because of who they are but for the work of the ministry.

Moses wasn’t a perfect man but God got angry with Aaron and Miriam when they gossiped about Moses (Numbers 12:1-10). God didn’t consider the rightness or wrongness of the gist, he addressed authority and Grace.

Let’s honor those God has placed over us for the oil always flows down- God has placed the grace we need on our leaders, honor is the tool that draws it. There were more than 50 Prophets in the school of the Prophets headed by Elijah, however it was only Elisha that honoured Elijah culminating in the double portion anointing on his life (2Kings 2:9-15)

Divine Healing: The word as a Consuming Fire

    Scripture:

Hebrews 12:29: For our God is a consuming fire.

We shall continue our series on healing today. I will be talking about the various dimensions of the word of God as it relates to securing our healing. Let us examine the word of God as  fire by looking at the following equations carefully:

Equation 1: God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29)
Equation 2: Jesus is God. (John 1:1)
Equation 3: Jesus is the word. (John 1:1)

By Combining the three equations we can deduce that the word of God is a consuming fire. One of the most potent arsenals at our disposal is fire- have you noticed that mad people don’t go near fire irrespective of the level of madness? The madness of the mad won’t permit the mad to trespass with fire. Oh yea, fire is that potent.

The word of God is a two edged sword having the capacity to heal and to wound (Hebrews 12:29; Deuteronomy 32:39). The bible declares in Psalms 7:11,” God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.”  The mercy of the lord doesn’t cover the wicked, God is angry with them daily. Sickness is from the devil, hence it must be judged by the consuming fire of the most high daily. Let us look at two powerful meticulous applications of judgemental fire:

    1. Destruction: Prophet Elijah asked the God of the heavens and the earth to confirm his servanthood by ushering down fire on the wicked forces before him by declaring, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.”(2 Kings 1:10).  Open your mouth and bring down fire on every infirmity in your life.

    2. Purification: The fire of God can also purge infirmities and diseases like no other instrument made under heaven by man. John the Baptist spoke glowingly about Jesus (the word) in Mathew 3:12, ” Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Jesus (the word) has the capacity to purge your body, seperate the good in the form of the wheat and consume the chaff, which is the sickness or disease with unquenchable fire. Friends, the fire of God can’t be quenched, that is the reason Elijah poured water on the altar at mount carmel before he brought down fire (1 Kings 18:33). The fire of God licks water, it can never be quenched by it.

That fibroid, migraine, ulcer and sickle cell or whatsoever the devil has put there has stayed in your body for too long. It’s time to roast it with fire- no demon on earth can withstand it, no familiar spirit, spirit husband or wife can absorb it- that is why it is called a consuming fire.

Open your mouth and do justice to that situation. What are you waiting for?

    Good  Morning

    May God bless you exceedingly.

    Hold fast to your confession

    Scripture:

Hebrews: 4:14 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

Yesterday,we started a series on healing- One of the primary ways we can receive our healing is by confessing what God says about our health. From the scripture above the writer of hebrew admonishes us to hold fast to our profession which simply means confession.

Let me share with you a personal testimony: During my university days, i had insomnia, sleeping disorder. It was very challenging, I would stay awake all night doing nothing but staring at the roof and everything in the room. I wouldn’t be able to sleep, I tried every practical thing possible but it yielded no result. Migraine also took over due to lack of sleep and proper rest- i wasn’t enjoying my life to say the least. However, all that changed one day.

As I was studying the bible, I came across a passage that changed my life forever. I saw that the price to sleep peacefully had been paid in full from Psalm 127:2,” It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”

I saw how I was entitled to lovely sleep as a child of God. Every night before going to bed, I began to confess the word in this manner, “In the name of Jesus, I am sleeping well tonight, because he giveth his beloved sleep. Hallelujah,I am sleeping well in the name of Jesus. I am his beloved, I am entitled to sleep…”I confessed it every day before going to bed and before I knew it, I started sleeping like a baby. Glory to God.

The word of God is too powerful to fail (Hebrews 4:12). The Bible says in,”Jeremiah 1:12,” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

God is watching over his words to perform it- My question to you is, have you found the word concerning that situation? Jeremiah 15:16 declares,”Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart…

God is not responsible for sicknesses, neither is be trying to teach you anything with that  condition. The Bible says in Matthew 13:25,” but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.”

Locate the word and confess it until you see the desired change.

    Hallelujah.

    Good morning

    You are healed

    Scripture:

Matthew 8:17. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

There was no sickness before the fall of man-Adams transgression gave birth to spiritual death, diseases and curses which invariably led to physical death.

Under the law, though they were dead spiritually they could still receive healing by gifts of the Spirit- however, they couldn’t receive healing by faith because the price for healing hadn’t been paid. They could only seek healing by the ministry of prophets or doctors.

Christ came to destroy the works of the enemy by dying on the cross- this act helped to destroy curses, sicknesses and diseases that the fall of man ushered into the world (Galatians 3:13-14).

Jesus became a curse on the cross and bore our sickneses in his body (Isaiah 53:4-5). The new birth is what grants us access into the divine nature of Christ with good health and a sound mind.

The word says he took our infirmities, therefore we are not sick people trying to receive our healing, we are the healed the devil is trying to make sick.

Curse every root of sickness in your body and send it back to the devil because you are healed. The price was paid in full at calvary.

    Good morning

    Divine Intervention

    Scripture:

    2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

There are ways to provoke divine intervention in any area we seek or desire. Let us examine some practical ways.

    1. Humility: One of the ingredients for success in our christian walk is humility. It is non-negotiable if we must succeed in life for God resisteth the proud but empowers the humble (James 4:6). According to John Maxwell, “to be humble is not to see yourself low but to lower yourself.” God wants us to be meek, teachable and put him first in our endeavors.

    2. Prayer: We need to seek the face of God in the place of prayer to find help in time of need. Communion with the Holy Spirit is the key to divine direction for as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

    3. Holiness: Holiness is not an advice, it’s a command. Leviticus: 20. 7.” Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.” God is instructing us to be holy because we’re created in his image and likeness and without holiness no one can access his help. From our scripture, God told the people if they turn from their wicked ways he will hear them. Sin hinders destinies and opens the gate to demons.

Let us flee iniquity and lay aside every work of darkness.

Good morning and have a wonderful day.

    Divine Training

David is unarguably the greatest king that sat on the throne in Israel; there is a reason for that- the word of the lord declares in Acts 13vs21-22,”They asked for a king and God GAVE them saul… when he had removed him, he RAISED for them David.

God gave them what was available(Saul), when they clamored for a king, but he RAISED for them David- God prepared for the people David- he was trained from an early age to mount the throne: he hunted bears, lions and eventually killed Goliath as a teenager.

Let God train you, don’t be in a hurry, don’t be disturbed if your peers are in the limelight; they are available like Saul, but God is raising you for a special assignment and when the time comes you will move with divine speed because it doesn’t take God time- Daniel became a prime minister overnight; Joseph landed in the palace within 24 hours of his eviction from the prison. It doesn’t take God time. The vision is for an appointed time, wait for it because it shall speak.

Good morning and have a lovely day.
